The Former Superior Court of Haifa
One of the most beautiful buildings in Haifa is the Haifa State Superior Court that was built in 1931, by the Mayor of Haifa during that period, Hassan Shukri. The courthouse was housed in a one storey building, relatively small, but built with great care by the government architect of the period, Harrison. The exterior walls are clad with stone and surrounded by cultivated gardens. Today, after recently being restored, the building houses the offices of the State Comptroller.
Address: Hassan Shukri St., next to the Haifa Municipality building, Hadar Hacarmel.
