Surfers Beach - Bat Galim

Surfer's Beach in Bat Galim is a special beach, because of the wind and the water. The only beach in the country that points north, with westerly winds that are parallel to the beach, where the face of the Carmel Mountain that slopes towards the sea, strengthens the winds. This is not only a local "surfers beach" but one of the best surfer beaches in the Middle East and some say, also in Europe. The special sea-bottom of the beach causes the formation of waves that don't break on the beach, but rather, begin to break about 100 meters from the shoreline. The beach has hosted several international competions in the past, from which came an Israeli European champion and world champion - Arnon Dagan, who paractices there, together with other Israeli champions. 

Beach facilities: grassy areas for assembling equipment, shade cabanas, surfer's club and equipment storage.
