Al Istakalel Mosque

A mosque built during the 1920's, the largest and most active of the Arabic Moslems in Haifa. The Mosque houses the Sarei Religious Court, as well as the Wakf Management that serves the Arabic Moslem sector of Haifa. The history of the Mosque is steeped in events, like the prayer visit of the former President of Egypt, Mr. Anwar Sadat in 1979.
