Tour Haifa - Haifa Tourists Board

“Festival of Festivals “

07-10-2013 - 31-12-2013

Haifa celebrates a unique and special event that takes place annually during the month of December. This exclusive holiday combines the celebration of three religions: Judaism, Christianity and Islam. "Festival of Festivals" activities are held every weekend during the month of December. They symbolize the values of coexistence, living together in peace and harmony, and mutual respect of all six religions in the city, joining the residents' lives and fate together.

The holiday takes place in the Arab Wadi Nisnas neighborhood and extends to the German Colony at the foot of the Baha'i' Gardens, to which each year thousands of tourists come for lunch in the background of the restored Templar homes and the beautiful Baha'i Gardens.

During the "Festival of Festivals," the following activities are featured: an Antique Fair, special authentic foodstuffs prepared by residents of Wadi Nisnas, music by artists of all ethnicities, performances, and a special atmosphere of festivity andlove.

Liturgical Music Concerts in Haifa's Churches and Halls: a music festival within the framework of the "Festival of Festivals" is held in conjunction with the chamber music group in Haifa. In the best tradition of the "Festival of Festivals," the concerts include Christian liturgical music combined with music of the Arab and Israeli heritage. Almost all of the concerts within the framework of the "Festival of Festivals" bring with it the human voice.

Arts and crafts fair: dozens of booths sell arts and crafts goods and homemade foodstuffs. In addition, there are parades and performances of music and ethnic music. A special stage will be set up for folklore and dance performances. A special program will be available for children and for the entire family.

Plays and performances for children will be held in a closed hall in Beit Hagefen and on an open stage in the Emil Thomas Plaza in Wadi Nisnas – all of the plays and performances will be open to the general public at no cost. In addition, arts and crafts workshops and activities will be held for the children.
